All the build-ups in the last few weeks lead to this episode. Shiroe finally reveals his grand plan to deal with the extremely high maintenance cost of controlling important buildings/locations in Akihabara to prevent enemies from purchasing them. Rather than trying to get enormous money to get all the buildings, Shiroe’s wish is to purchase everything in Elder Tale that are purchasable by Adventurers, then return them all to the world. This means, he wants to erase the system that allows Adventurers to buy buildings/locations and have full control of it.

Personally, I would say this is a good idea, and very much Shiroe-like. Without a “gaming” system enforcing “absolute rule” about place ownership, Round Table is currently strong enough to maintain control in Akihabara. Adventurers can still settle things using their “human” way.

Meanwhile, Silver Sword guild plus Demikas, Naotsugu and Tetra manage to win their battle and become the first group ever to complete the raid. William decides to give one of the raid item to Shiroe. William returns to his lovely (and sarcastic) wife. He does look a lot more cheerful after dealing with his personal grudge against Shiroe. Our heroes return to Akihabara, with Tetra joining Log Horizon. Of course, we have our long-awaited scene of Marie’s jealousy when she sees Tetra and Naotsugu.

So Shiroe knows that Tetra is actually a boy (the player behind the character when Elder Tale was a game). With everything becomes reality, he is stuck in female avatar and I guess he decides to have fun with it.

We finally get to see the first introduction of some new characters, presumably from Minami city. We are getting ready for the final arc of this season.
