Final episode. They decided to cook Dera as a meal for the prince: fried bird with special sauce. The prince originally hesitated to eat Dera, but Kana managed to trick him into tasting a bite. The prince enjoyed his meal, spend few days at the shopping district, then return home with Choi. And they live happily ever after.
Of course I was kidding, lol.
Now for the real review. The prince arrives at the shopping district, returning Tamako’s precious medal. After Dera’s touching attempt to “save” Tamako from being forced against her will, Tamako decides to meet the prince and reject being the his bride candidate. Choi then reveals she actually hasn’t conducted proper reading to find out whether Tamako is the “real” candidate or not. She just feel it would be great if Tamako is actually becomes the prince’s bride.
All in all, Tamako is going nowhere. Choi returns home with the prince while Dera stays a little longer until new year.
I must say, this ending is pretty plain for me. I do enjoy the journey more than the final destination, I guess. Each episode of Tamako Market is fun and entertaining, but the actual “main storyline” is rather… dull.
