Still in the journey to save Serara in Susukino, our heroes decide to pass through an underground tunnel called The Depths of Palm. Naturally there will be some dangers and monsters inside.

Episode 3 brings us a little bit more information about the game. Like how they can only ride Griffons 4 hours a day and how Telepathy ability can only be used with people in our Friend List and we need to be right in front of that person to add them. That explains why Shiroe can’t just talk to Serara directly.

I was surprised when Naotsugu said something about how things look different from when they saw it on monitor. So Elder Tale was originally a normal game as in the ones we play in computer/console using monitor/TV screen? So it’s not a total virtual reality world like the one in SAO and Accel World. Then how the heck these people can get trapped inside the virtual world now?

In SAO, players have a clear goal to achieve and fear for their life.
In Log Horizon players have no fear for death, but also no goal, basically nothing to achieve. Even food has no taste.
I wonder which one brings more despair…
