That Malves guy turns out to be just a small fry. A little drama scenario created by Shiroe successfully render him speechless and leave. I was expecting Shiroe to play one-man showdown against him, apparently that’s just not possible. Shiroe is a strategist, not a front-liner. Thus naturally he always need other people to play part in his plan.

I’m still disappointed that Shiroe still choose to play the bad cop here and leave the good cop role to Crusty. I mean, he can’t continue to become everyone’s strategist if people don’t even see him in a good way.

The next scene is a fashion festival. Naturally just an excuse to show our character in flashy outfits. Not that I complain about this one, as seeing Akatsuki in twintails is indeed very refreshing. I feel sad watching her feeling down for thinking she’s not useful enough to help Shiroe.

IF this is not a finale episode, I would say this is a good episode. But putting this as a closure of a season? I don’t think it has enough impact. Luckily second season of Log Horizon is going to air in Fall 2014 !

If Malves is only a small fry, then who is the mastermind? Turns out, they introduce a new character in the last episode of this series: another Adventurer named Nureha. She rules the west part of Elder Tale world. She claims to meet Shiroe in the past and would like him to join her “empire” to rule everyone.

Naturally Shiroe declines. And their story is more likely to be the main ingredient for the next season of Log Horizon. It’s kinda clever to introduce an archenemy for Shiroe. One who is as smart as him (if not smarter), and willing to use any means possible to achieve what she want (the usual trait of a true antagonist). Perhaps their conflict in season 2 will finally reveal what bring them “trapped” in this mysterious world looking like Elder Tale?

Overall I really enjoy Log Horizon. It’s a very entertaining show with some unexpected twists. Can’t wait to watch and blog season 2 !
