Yato is having a final showdown against Rabou. The battle scene is not bad and worth to be put in last episode of a series. Naturally, it started with Yato looked weaker, but suddenly changes when Hiyori is harmed. Talk about being cliche.
Interestingly, Hiyori’s memory does not return because Yato wins and retrieves back her memory crystal. Hiyori gets her memory back from her own effort, thanks to… Yato’s smell.
With desire to protect Hiyori, Yato gets stronger and defeats Rabou. Rabou’s wish is actually pretty simple. He wants to die, and he wants Yato to be the one who send him gone. He gets his wish and disappear peacefully.
The crisis is gone. Hiyori gets her memory back. Yato finally offers her a normal life. As expected, Hiyori chooses to stay with Yato and Yukine.
And that’s how our story ends.
Nice anime. Wouldn’t call it anything super, but very decent and I kept looking forward for a new episode every week. Hate the arc when Yukine acted like a spoiled brat, but other than that things are fine with the characters. If this anime gets a second season, I would like to see more of Kofuku’s combat ability. That’ll be very interesting to watch.
