Apparently, Hiyori only lose her memory about Yato as she can still remember Yukine. Not sure what’s her “altered version” of how she met Yukine without Yato though.

Both Yato and Yukine try to bring back Hiyori’s memory. Yato even creates a set of pictures about their past adventure together. Then Nora appears and Yato quickly understands that Hiyori’s condition has something to do with Nora.

Nora is working together with Rabou, a God of Calamity who will kill anyone as long as someone wishes for it. He killed humans, ayakashi, or even other Gods. It seems that in the past Yato was working together with this Rabou guy.

Next we have battle scene between Yato and Rabou. Nora becomes Rabou’s shinki and her shape is a sword, just like Yukine. Rabou is overwhelmingly more powerful than Yato. It’s hard to imagine that they were once equal in power.

If there’s anything good from Hiyori’s lost of memory, since she doesn’t have any “connection” with Yato, she no longer turns into her spirit form with a tail. She becomes normal human now. I almost wished for things to stay this way because that’s the very first reason Hiyori followed Yato: to fix her condition. Now she has it fixed, and as mentioned by Tenji that this condition might be for the better.

Then it came the next twist. Hiyori gradually loses her other memory too, not just about Yato. Yukine took it hard when Hiyori forgets about him too. As Hiyori will forget more and more things, eventually she will be left with no memory. To gain her memory back, Yato and Yukine must defeat Rabou, at the risk of breaking Sekki (Yukine as a sword).

So far I like how the story progresses. Looking forward for even better episode next week.
