After the “epic” confession (and proposal), here comes the awkward moment. Kyousuke and Kirino returns to their hotel room (no, not love hotel, just a normal hotel) and talk about what just happened. Kyousuke gives Kirino her Christmas present, a ring, which also becomes their engagement ring.
Kirino keeps on saying that there is no way they can get married as they’re blood related siblings. What? I think I remember an episode in season 1 about how Kirino is NOT blood-related with Kyousuke? I tried to find the episode again but failed. I might remember it wrong, or I might mixed it up with some other anime/manga story (it happens sometimes).
Even more interesting, Kirino also admits that if Kyousuke didn’t confess to her earlier, she is the one who will confess. They really think alike !
Then Kirino whispers about something to Kyousuke, still no idea what was that about, but Kyousuke seems happy and agrees to it.
Done with the discussion, Kirino instantly goes back to her gaming mode. Spending the rest of their Christmas eve playing holiday-themed eroge. Lol, couldn’t expect less from her.
The next day, our new couple meet Saori and Kuroneko (or Yamineko, I’m not sure anymore). Kirino and Kuroneko have their usual fight. Their imaginary fight scene is funny, with some parody of Kuroyukihime’s black butterfly (from Accel World). Saori is being honest by saying only “part of her” wants to congratulate the two.
Then Kyousuke leaves the group to meet Kanako (seems like he gets a message from her, telling him to go alone). As I had guessed, Kanako confesses to Kyousuke on the stage, with Meruru costume. Kyousuke rejects her straightforward, and Kanako’s surprised face is priceless. With Kanako added to the pool, 3 girls has confessed to Kyousuke so far (Kuroneko, Ayase and Kanako). It’s kinda unexpected in a way. I originally didn’t thought Kanako will join the “battle” to this depth. Now, the only “main heroine” with no confession (or even closure) is Manami. I’m sure they prepared something interesting to closure Manami’s obvious feeling to Kyousuke.
The last part of this episode goes to Kirino’s secret box. The one she almost show to Kyousuke before departing to US a while ago. This time, we get to see what’s actually inside. It has a photo album, with lots of Kyousuke’s photo. Kirino confesses that she always admire Kyousuke as her older brother since long ago. And the iPod that was also there, is a self recording. Kirino recorded messages for her future self, reminding her about stuff, mostly about her feeling to Kyousuke and how she was told in the past by someone that her feeling is wrong. I’m guessing, that “someone” is Manami.
