So Febri is an artificial human. And her body cells produce poison that will eventually kill her. The only thing that prevents that from happening is her green lollipops. Without those lollipops, she will die. The only one who can “fix” her is the one who created her. Since there is nothing can be done, Febri is released from the hospital.

Thanks to Misaka imouto, Mikoto knows that Febri’s “artificial knowledge” is most likely created by the same person who made the knowledge for Misaka clones. That brings the suspicion directly to Shinobu.

As usual, Mikoto tried to solve this problem alone, again *sigh*. Thanks to Kongou’s phone call (she’s surprisingly useful this season), plus Kuroko’s full trust to her onee-sama, Mikoto finally decides to share this “problem” to the group. I’m really glad this arc doesn’t turn out to be Mikoto’s one person battle again. It is so much more fun to watch Kuroko, Saten and Uiharu work together. Now we even have Kongou, added to the mix.

So our heroines begin their investigation to find Febri’s creators. Right now, they know that Febri is an artificial being, she will die without her lollipops, and she has an older sister (presumably another artificial being). Mikoto can’t find how to contact Shinobu. And so the gekota-faced doctor offers Mikoto to meet someone from “the underground” to gain information and get connected.

Now, some comments about the characters. Kongou changes, a lot, in this season. I can almost say she’s a likeable character now. I still don’t like her snake pet, though. Seriously, Kongou, can’t you choose a better pet than a snake that can decide to eat you alive anytime?

Kuroko looks somewhat more mature now. She’s still the one we know and love, obsessed with her onee-sama, but she learns to trust Mikoto. And when Mikoto choose not to tell her about something, all she does is offering help. Season 1 Kuroko would stalk Mikoto from behind to find out what Mikoto is up to. Before Mikoto decides to tell everyone about Febri, I secretly wished Kuroko would tail Mikoto from behind so this arc will have her involved, at least. But I feel relieved now, this arc is a group fight arc.

I like this episode, and this arc finally shows promising development. Judging from the plot speed, I suspect this will be the last arc of season 2. So, better make it good and memorable.
