Our new arc starts with our heroines doing their homework and a sleeping black-knight. The next scene is a boss battle with some cool actions to bring our heroes to the next floor of Aincrad. Once the floor is opened, Kirito and Asuna can finally purchase the home of their memory in SAO days. Based on the focus of storytelling, I think the next arc is going to be Asuna-focused arc, and that’s a good thing.
The first hint of this new arc is a mysterious swordman called Zekken. He is a mysterious player who shows up every day at 3:00 challenging everyone to a duel and so far he never lost. A super strong player above everyone. Yes, even stronger than Kirito. Asuna is going to challenge this mysterious player in next episode, and I guess this is where the arc would actually start.
